It’s been a long journey, but one that was truly worth it. Hurricane Florence impacted us all in Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach back in September, and we needed to shut our doors while we worked through repairs. We had a desire to open our doors quickly for the community, but decided to take a moment and dream. Dream about what improvements we could make and what the Oceanic could be for our community. How could we make the space and experience better for our local families and those traveling far distances that have dined with us through the years.
The Oceanic and our place in Wrightsville beach is a special one. We are part of Wrightsville’s storied history dating back to 1939 when the pier was first built and evolved from a simple fish house to a three-story restaurant. Families have made special memories with us, and we wanted to continue to build on that legacy.
We have one of the best views of the Atlantic Ocean on Wrightsville Beach, but wanted our guests to be able to see the ocean, at its perfection, from any point or seat within the restaurant. We wanted to improve our efficiencies to provide better service and improve the spaces throughout the restaurant.
Over the last six months, we have been doing just that. Taking the feedback from our guests and using it to re-imagine the Oceanic, work on delicious dishes and cocktails, improve the decor, spaces and views for you all to enjoy.
We welcome you to re-experience the Oceanic as we officially open our doors on Monday, April 22nd.
