In the home stretch!

In the home stretch!

THANK YOU for your patience during our Hurricane Florence reconstruction. As you know, Oceanic weathered some pretty major water damage that required taking her down to the studs. However, the historic building and iconic Crystal Pier are strong, and so are our roots in Wilmington. We can’t wait to open our doors to show the community.

When taking on the task of rebuilding, we turned to our neighbors and friends to ask what made Oceanic special to them. Time and time again, people shared the feeling of warmth, friendliness, hospitality, and tradition that were hallmarks of O. And the view! Generations have dined, celebrated, and made memories with us. This feedback fueled our desire to rebuild a better Oceanic for our guests – while remaining true to our roots. It was time to pay respect to our heritage and our place in the Wrightsville Beach community.

With our reconstruction, we looked to enhance the views of our awe-inspiring Atlantic Ocean. Where there were walls, you’ll find windows. We can’t wait to introduce you to the Jetty Bar – the next best thing to sitting on the pier and the coolest bar in town. We have relocated the bar to the south side of Oceanic and have included a shiny new wine tap system, a new cocktail line up and pitchers of frosty drinks – you will have the best view of the surfers and our inspiration – the south end jetties. It is only fitting that we pay homage to the jetties that protected our shoreline during Florence.

For your special celebrations, we have expanded our private event space to include a first floor, ocean-front dining room. The second floor is ready for your big event, with the addition of a full bar. The third floor loft is sparkling, with simple, chic details and a panoramic view.

Our menu got a makeover as well. Creative dishes, fresh and local, with more emphasis on traceable, fully sustainable seafood. Our global offerings are also certified. We asked for your favorites, and made sure those remained on the menu – hush puppies, Calabash-style baskets, crab cakes, and crab dip are just a few of your favorites that are back.

So while you wait for the last coat of paint to dry and the kitchen to get fired up, please join our email list or follow our Facebook and Instagram pages for sneak peeks and to be the first to hear about our reopening date!

We can’t wait to see you again.
